About This Item
Steel-engraving, 1874. 110mm by 175mm (image) 210mm by 270mm (sheet). From 'Australia' by Edwin Carton Booth. Prout was an English artist who emigrated to Sydney in 1840. From 1844-1848 he lived and worked in Tasmania. A number of his works were used for engravings in Edwin Carton Booth's 'Australia'. CONDITION : A couple of tiny spots outside the image area.
