Colour illustrated frontispiece, showing a Mountie on his horse, illustrator not credited. Red coloured boards with black titles to the backstrip. A little bumping to the backstrip edges and robbing to the book corners. Browning and foxing to the text block edges and browning to the internal text. A prize plate has been affixed to the free front end paper. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for frontispiece, with tolive and red titles to the front panel and yellow titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy rubbing to the spine edges and lighter rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Handling marks present to the rear dustwrapper panel. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. As a reward for saving some children from a grizzly bear, Tim Thorne is given the chance to ride with his hero -- Corporal Ted Burgess Of the Royal North-West Mounted Police, as he goes on his duties.
