1912 hardcover as pictured. Ex-library with typical markings. This is nicely bound edition that has seen considerable wear. It is most notable for its illustrations, being the first major commission for the then 18 year old Norman Rockwell. Binding is intact though front free endpaper and half title page are detached. Tan cloth boards with gold and black stamping are soiled, rubbed and very worn with fraying of edges and corners. Both hinges are cracked. Edge of text block is soiled. Text is tanned with some mottled pages. A few pages have soiling or folds. Includes 8 full color tipped in illustrations. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
