Synopsis: While on pilgrimage, Sir Baldwin Furnshill and Bailiff Simon Puttock are asked to investigate the murder of a young woman in Santiago, Spain. The local pesquisidore is in charge of the case, but a figure from Baldwin's dangerous past also becomes involved, threatening not only the investigation, but Baldwin's very future.
