Signed by the Author Photographer on title page. Lightly bumped front fore-edge board, else, Pristine, no wear. No markings, binding tight, clean, white and bright. 7.25" x 9.5". Green cloth with gilt decoration on front board, gilt lettering to spine, and decorative end papers. Not Price Clipped, but missing rear inner flap. Front-panel flap dj taped on inside with 1" rectangle chip at top edge spine, and a few additional small chips and closed tears to same. Pictorial dj in acetate protector. "Laura Gilpin (1891-1979) was an American photographer. Gilpin is known for her photographs of Native Americans, particularly the Navajo and Pueblo, and Southwestern landscapes. Gilpin began taking photographs as a child in Colorado and formally studied photography in New York from 1916 to 1917 before returning to her home in Colorado to begin her career as a professional photographer.".
