Austin: Texas Folk-Lore Society, 1943. Limited Editioin. Octavo. Limited to 550 copies printed by Carl Hertzog, then melted the type. 115p. One of the best books ever written on the West Texas range. Reese, Six Score 10 "vividly written story of range life in West Texas in the 1890's". Dykes, My Dobie Collection, p. 9 (lists as #29) on his rarities list. Dobie not only wrote the introduction but had an extensive role in editing the volume. A fine bright copy bound in light brown pictorial cloth stamped in dark brown spine lettering dark brown, in the original glassine wrapper with chip to upper corner and afew tiny chips, no names or bookplates, an exceptional copy.
