伊勢)度会郡山田.. 文久元[1861].. Black and white woodblock printed, accordion style binding, decorative paper wrappers. A Japanese lunisolar calendar 文久二年 (1862) published in 文久元年 (1861). Covers insect damaged and stained in places, a little loss along blank upper margin first and last leaf, light browning, otherwise very good. Text in Japanese. 29.1 x 20.4cm. An interesting old Japanese calendar showing 二十四節気 "24 solar terms" which correspond to the individual months and 五行 "Five Phases"(木 Wood, 火 Fire, 土 Earth, 金 Metal, and Water one of which correspond to a day. Each month is either 29 or 30 days. .
