Paris: Didier & Cie., 1881. Septieme (seventh) edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 600 pages. Quarter leather binding, red & black boards backed with brown calf. Gilt lettering & decoration on spine. Contains two albumen prints; one is the frontispiece by J.M Rutherford, of the moon 3/4 full. The other is at page 336 by J. Nasmith of the Apennins Chain of craters, including Archimedes Crater. Also contains all 6 fold-out diagrams & numerous black & white illustrations throughout the text. Condition of the book is VERY GOOD; Occasional foxing throughout, not affecting the photographs of diagrams. Binding is tight. Text in French.
