Loving biography of Holtby by her close friend Vera Brittain. A wide-ranging writer and novelist, Holtby is now probably best remembered for 'South Riding'. Includes accounts of Holtby and Brittain revisiting the WWI battlefield areas in which they both served. ALL EARLY PRINTINGS ARE SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
