Spine still sound. Endpapers (of a very lightweight paper) have split along gutter but underlying webbing still holds fast. The interior is for the most part unmarked. There is some annotation in pencil in the earliest chapters, on the half-title and on the front free endpaper. 588 pp + 36 pp endmatter (publisher's offerings).
