Profusely illustrated with b&w drawings, technical diagrams. "(A) wealth of information on (Bolt-action military rifles) of fifteen nations of which little has been collectively written in recent times. Each individual rifle has drawings in great detail of small components, which should be of great value for checking originality, repair and general interest. A desirable chapter on ammunition, chargers and clips is included, with historical and technical notes; plus drawings of the respective cartridges used and components. In addition a chapter on revolvers and automatic pistols of the period compliments the longarms along with descriptions and sectioned drawings of practical breech-loading military rifles of an earlier period."
