Robert Hale Limited, 1939. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1939. No Edition Remarks. 220 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth with silver lettering to spine. Sepia photographic plates throughout and similar frontispiece. Pages bright with some tanning and foxing, particularly to textblock edges and endpapers. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners, crushing to spine ends and water staining. Spine heavily sunned and tanned, particularly at top and bottom. Some areas of sunning to boards. Silver lettering is dulled. Boards are slightly bowed. Book has slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with tears, chipping, rubbing and marking and large areas of loss.
