Black and white illustrations throughout. Quarto book very clean, some corners gently bumped, light wear to extremities. Sewn binding is tight with a slight wobble. Front endpaper has been removed. Frontis (2): "The Actor" by Pablo Picasso, full page and full colour and miniature by Joseph Etienne Blerzy showing acrobatic performances and a theatre of the type used at the French fairs during the 18th century, in full colour. Illustrated title pages, two-page format. Pages very clean and completely frre from any markings, last few pages wavy near the top edge.
