Five gilt decorative bars and the number "1" to spine. Rubbing to extremities; edges of boards a bit ragged. Corners rounded and exposed. Headband and footband worn off. Scuffing and pencil and ink marks to front and rear pastedowns. Front free endpaper and half title missing. One inch open tear on top corner and foxing to title page. Age-toning to pages. Joints and hinges tight; leaves in good plus condition. Published anonymously. Chapters include: 1) Of Marriage as a Divine Institution; 2) Of Whoredom and Fornication; 3) Of Adultery; 4) Of Polygamy; 5) Christ Not the Giver of a New Law; and 6) Concubinage.
