New York: Random House, 1980 First printing of the stated first edition. Light toning to endpapers and 3 pages with penciled stage editing, else book in fine condition; price-clipped dust jacket with light toning to upper edge of flaps and back cover, light wear to spine ends, else fine. Based on the real-life relationship of Hamlisch and Sager, originally premiered at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles (1978) and on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre (1879), directed by Robert Moore and choreographed by Patricia Birch, the cast starred Robert Klein and Lucie Arnaz (in her Broadway debut).
