Introduction and English translation of the work followed by a facsimile of the 1585 Christoph Plantin edition (in Dutch). De Deinde (the art of tenths) essentially established the use of decimal arithmetic in Europe, though the concept had been introduced by Arab mathematicians in the early fifteenth century.
