Philadelphia, Pa: Johnson & Warner, 1810. Hardcover. Very Good -. 32 p.: engraved frontispiece and 5 leaves of engraved plates; 12 cm. Original plain paper on paste board, printed in black with front and back within simple decorative borders. Imprint on cover dated 1811. Publisher's advertisement on back cover. Frontispiece attached to inside of front cover. Principally taken from: Le Magazin des Enfans Mme. de Beaumont (cf. Preface). Plates probably engraved by William Charles. Rosenbach, 438; Early American Imprints, 2nd series (Shaw & Shoemaker), 19992 and 22717. The illustrations are printed on a different stock, which has darkened more than the text. Front cover detached; otherwise in Very Good- Condition: cover slightly soiled; lacking some paper along joints; scattered foxing, including title page; otherwise pages are clean and tight.
