Very good. 7pp. Report detailing compensation and documentation of orders for Gilliss' 1838 Expedition and Astronomical/Meteorological observations (numbering 10,000). GIllis was the founder of the United States Naval Observatory. J. K. Paulding, writer and Secretary of the Navy letter included, not in BAL. Removed/disbound. Has not been located in Worldcat at this time.
