First edition, published as Houghton Library Brochure Number 4. Copy #65 of 75 numbered copies printed in Caslon Old Face on Laverstock mould-made paper, each numbered using a pencil made by Thoreau. An extract from Caroline Sturgis's reply to Emerson, 22 May, 1844, concludes the text. MYERSON A61. BAL 5336.
