The jottings and mad insights of Paul Rand (1914-1996), the American art director and graphic designer, best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Morningstar, Inc., Westinghouse, ABC, and Steve Jobs's NeXT. Rand is the focus of "Everything is Design: the Work of Paul Rand," an exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York running through September 7, 2015. Not to be missed.
