About This Item
Kansas City: Simplified Economics, N.d. [c. 1954?]. 24mo. Bifolium (4pp). Mild toning; Near Fine.
Unrecorded prospectus for "Depression Omega," a socialist economics tract by Joseph William Parker published in 1954. Argues for revolution as the only effective means to economic justice: "Workers are confronted with a problem that, in spite of its having accomplished a great deal, can never be solved through unionism. Those who create wealth through labor will never get their just dues until they learn how to abolish profits, interst, was in distribution, etc. Unionism solves none of these problems." Published under the imprint of Parker's own populist-socialist publishing company, which also issued a monthly journal, "Simplified Economics," with the motto: "Food for those who can think, thought for those who can't think.
