The first volume in this work begins with the final scenes in the reign of Henry I, whose daughter married Geoffrey of Anjou and whose son succeeded in due course to the throne of England as Henry II, thus beginning the brilliant Plantagenet dynasty. The book itself is in very good condition. Original edition was printed in 1951.
