Boards worn along edges and joints with soiling along fore-edge of front board. Binding is sound and, aside from some bookseller pencil annotations to endpapers, pages unmarked.
The author was purported to be the first white child born in Wisconsin and accompanied the troops who established Fort Snelling at the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers.
