J. W. Bradley, 1859. Hardcover. Good. ORIGINAL COPY! SOLID COPY! First American Edition. Includes frontispiece fold out and map! Beautifully illustrated Woodcuts From Photographs! Embossed brown cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Appears to have no marks or writings, light foxing and light age toning but clean, binding tight and sound. Corners and edges worn and rubbed, moderate wear to spine ends, a few chips and scuff marks. 426 pp. It is supposed to have 26 pages of ads however there must have been a printing error, it is missing pages 1-5 and page 7, but has added page 29 which starts the adds. Also the last 4 pages was not cut to separate the pages. More images upon request. Please see our feedback! carefully packaged and shipped in box. Z1 He was emissary to Madagascar for the London Missionary Society in 1853, 54, and 56. Of particular interest are his observations and notes on slavery.
