About This Item
Juta and Co. Ltd., Capetown & Johannesburg, 1935. Good-Plus softcover. Foxing to page block and title page. Binding is good but appears to have been reinforced with bookbinder's tape inside front cover. Hinge is just beginning to split between pages 66 and 67. Book is in very good shape otherwise. Clean throughout: No names, notes, stamps, stickers or marks. (Contains many sepia-tone photos.) We ship within 24 hours in most cases.
Note: Edith Lena Prance (1874-1957) was quite an adventurer. She drove ambulances in both world wars, serving in France, Greece and Serbia. In 1940, at the age of 66, she narrowly escaped the Nazis. She was awarded the British Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
