Travelogue of sportsman and the 26th President of the United States Theodore Roosevelt (1858 - 1919) in a scientific exploration in Brazilian hinterlands with co-leader Colonel Candido Mariano da Silva Rondon which took place on the completion of the presidential term. The expedition was primarily concerned with mammals and birds on behalf of the American Museum of Natural History.
