About This Item
London: George Bell & Sons, 1907. The "Magic Door" is Doyle's relation to books and authors he has read. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First Colonial Edition, part of "Bell's Indian and Colonial Library." Uncommon thus. Red ribbed cloth binding, ruled; with the title blindsta, ped to the front cover; titling in gilt on the spine; blindstamped decoration on the rear cover. Clean text; 274 pages, extremely bright. Indexed. With a 16-page publisher's catalog ("November, 1907"0 in the rear; pages are tan due to the lesser-quality paper stock employed. The spine has faded, with the gilt dulled and faint. Two spots on the rear cover. A solid copy of an unusual printing. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
