About This Item

London: Women's Co-Operative Guild, N.d. [ca 1927?]. 12mo (18cm). Staple-bound pamphlet; printed paper wrappers; 8pp. Bit of staining to covers; creased at upper margin; Very Good.

The Women's Co-Operative Guild was founded in 1883 and, while never extensive in terms of membership, bore an outsize influence on British politics, being particularly active in the pacifist movement in the years prior to WW1. Eleanor Barton was the group's General Secretary from 1927-1937 and we suspect this pamphlet dates from early in her tenure; 1926 is the latest date referenced in the text. Rare; IISH only in OCLC (incorrectly giving a 1925 date).
