About This Item

New York: H.C. Kinsey & Company, Inc., 1937. 287 pp. 19.5 x 13.5 cm. Brown cloth-covered boards with black titling to cover and spine, in an unclipped pictorial jacket; first edition, first printing. Rubbing to folds of jacket; chipping to head and tail of spine; dampstaining at tail of spine (only noticeable on verso); 3.5 x 2 cm inverted "L" shaped tear at tail of spine of jacket. Bumping and toning to head and tail of spine. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding firm. Despite the damage to the jacket, this is still a rather nice looking copy of Lord Melchett's survey of Jewish persecution through the ages, published just two years before the United Kingdom entered World War II.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good+.
