The first English translation of the Tibetan Buddhist text the Bardo Thodol, by American folklorist and religious scholar W.Y Evans-Wentz. Its title was invented by Wentz due to its similarities with the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, and like that work this one has become a widely-read and studied classic of world spirituality.
