Very Good in Very Good DJ. 3rd printing 1954, very good hardcover shows name and year written at front end apper along with scrape rubs to rear cover and some other light trace wear, in very good - dust jacket (price at flap) that shows bit of rubbing and edge wear that includes tiny open chips and heavier open chipping (mainly a large 11/4 by 11/4 open chip at middle of top edge of rear panel) and scraping to top portion of rear panel. 612 pages. Still a solid and fairly pleasing copy of this novel that centers around "..the fall of the then Mexican province of New Mexico to a United States army.
