About This Item

New York: Random House, 1954. Fifth Printing. Hardcover. Very good/good. 214pp octavo. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket. A couple of faint spots on the foredge otherwise a very good copy in a good dust jacket with chips. Inscribed by Hyman to Medora Field Perkerson and her husband thanking her for her party in his honor. Laid in are 2 long typed letters from Hyman to Perkerson telling her he would try to make the party(which he obviously did) and a letter a month later wondering about about another letter he had written. Perkerson was the author of two successful mysteries written in the 30s under Medora Field and "White Columns in Georgia" a very successful history of Georgia homes. She was editor of the Atlanta Journal Magazine and the driving force behind Margaret Mitchell and her Gone With the Wind.
