Fine, with mailing folds. [B] Manuscript Note Signed, 5.5" x 8.5", 1 p., on personal memo stationary, thanking the recipient, "...a thoughtful and delightful friend.", for a gift memento. Very good with small tear at right margin and slight wrinkle. [C] 1980, '81 and '82 Christmas Cards from O'Connor's family with photographs of her family and her husband.<br /> <br /> Sandra Day O'Connor (b. 1930) served as the first female associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1981 to 2006. The first woman to ascend to the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice O'Connor brilliantly paved the way just as Jackie Robinson did for baseball. She was nominated by President Ronald Reagan and wrote opinions for some of the most monumental decision of her era including: Bush v. Gore, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, and Hamdi v. Rumsfeld.
