Robertson & Mullens, Melbourne 1935. 25.0 x 18.5cms, 232pp, 6 b/w & 6 tipped in colour illusts, very good- hardback (poor cloth cover, minor foxing) & dustwrapper (old adhesive repairs, minor chips) Croll wrote that Roberts founded Australian landscape painting: 'Not perhaps the greatst of its exponents, though such an able pratctioner, he had the happy faculty of inspiring others - in the words of J S MacDonald, Director of the New South Wales Gallery, Roberts put life into Art as no one else ever did'.
