Center pages have ​dog earred corners, creases, page 103 has a 2" tear at the bottom and blue ink on page 101. Some light stains on other pages. Binding is tight.

Very handsome copy of book #8 in the second Tom Swift YA series, which was comprised of 33 volumes written under the pseudonym Victor Appleton II. These are the blue tweed hardcover books with a plain frontispiece, internals, & endpapers by illustrator Graham Kaye. Orig. published in 1956, this is a slightly later printing, listing to Book #13 in front matter, #12 on back cover, & HB#37 on back cover. In 214 pages. Condition is VG+: very clean & bright, downgraded due to mild rubbing to extremities & bumped corners. Binding straight & strong, hinges intact. Pages creamy white, with a whisper of tanning to edges, else unmarked.
