Faber and Faber Limited, 1944. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1944. First Edition. 274 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Deckled and rough cut text block edges. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with a few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Water staining to rear paste-down. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges, with a pronounced bow overall. Water staining to lower corners.
