Folio (mostly 9-3/4" x 13-1/4' with some leaves smaller) consisting of loose signatures within printed wraps and in a decorated cloth folder; (viii), 244, (4) pages. Copy #4 of only 5 copies on imperiales du Japon (of a total edition of 25 copies). Illustrated with drawings in the text by Michel Ranjard and 28 full-page heliogravures. Touraine is a region located in the heart of France famous for its castles and wines.
