More prominent to text block edges. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light staining and tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

General wear and marking on covers. Mild page browned internally. Beautifully decorative art nouveau style endpapers. Top edge gilt. Uncut pages.184pp.

Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding slightly loose. A previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces heavily tanned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front.

London: Everyman's Library (Dent/Dutton), 1950. Reprint. . Hardcover. Good/Fair. Red cloth boards with embossed decoration, gilt lettering to spine. Dust jacket has large closed tears and chips to edges, 1 inch tear to spine but has not detached. Slight foxing to dust jacket inside cover.

George Cruikshank. 478pp. Marroon cloth, paper spine label, top edges gilt, 40 plates and 58 woodcuts by Cruikshank. Spine darkened and missing a 2cm piece from top of spine, spine label worn but mostly legible, text foxed but most plates not affected, owner's name on front free endpaper.

Dent, 1946. Everyman's Library edition, with an Introduction by E Rhys. 455pp, red cloth covered boards, a little faded to the spine, with gilt title. Previous owner's name and address to the title page, otherwise internally clean. A historical novel set in Tudor times in the reign of Jane Grey and Mary Tudor.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

Some dog ears and creasing to edges. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Book has a slight forward lean. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Sunning to spine. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
