About This Item
London: T. Cadell, A. Donaldson, J. Balfour and R. Taylor, 1772. [4], 40pp, bound in modern half-calf and boards, with leather title label to front board. Externally very good. Slightly cropped at head affecting page numbers towards end, but never text. Slightly browned, but generally quite bright, one instance of critical marginalia (in old hand) to page seven, with slight staining to margin of last three pages, otherwise quite clean. "Jenner, Charles (bap. 1736, d. 1774), writer and poet ... Jenner's first published work was a volume of poems in 1766 ... After The Placid Man his most interesting work was in verse once more, especially in Town Eclogues (1772)" (Oxford DNB). First Edition. Half Calf and Boards. Good+. 4to.
