J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd, 1909. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1909. 7th Edition. 111 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth. Black and white illustrated frontispiece. Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Staining and tears to some pages, text remains readable. Previous owner's inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

Synopsis

Marlowe's play has two different recognized texts, with most editions based on the B text. Due to recent arguments for the authenticity of A, this edition is based on the A text. It includes a discussion of biographical, dramatic and theatrical aspects of the play.
