About This Item
New York: Frederick Ungar, 1943. Red boards show light wear at head of spine and small bump to upper edge. Front and back flaps from original just jacket have been laid in on front and rear endpapers. Unmarked except a date in ink on front free endpaper. A few leaves with creased corners resulting from a printing miscut. Easy enough to unfold them and trim them to proper size. Printed on the type of lower quality paper available during the war, but miraculously only very lightly tanning and no foxing. An account of the resistance movements in various European countries (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Greece and Yugoslavia) with a chapter on the Jews and another entitled "The War of the Common People." 284 pp + index (2 pp).. First. Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
