Gift inscription by author on second free endpaper. Maroon cloth covers with gilt imprint of Quixote on his steed on front cover, faded gilt lettering on spine. Cover corners and edges are bumped and rubbed, cover faces are scuffed and darkened along edges, spine is discolored and faded, wear to joints, spine ends are quite torn and frayed. Gilt top page edge. Bookplate from previous owner on front inside cover. Front hinge broken, back hinge loose, spine loose or broken within interior. Pages are browning along edges, some edges uncut, few corners are lightly creased. Book in Good to Good+ condition. Scarce first edition signed by author.. Gift Inscription By Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. Illus. by Daniel Vierge. Size: Approx. 5 3/4" x 8 1/2". Spain.
