Includes 26 full-page drawings; frontpiece drawing of Edinburgh Castle-from the Grassmarket. Text is organized into 7 sections: Edinburgh, The Rest of Scotland, England, France, The Rest of Europe, The United States and Appendix which provides a lengthy, detailed chronological outline of R.L. Stev enson's life: a calendar of the chief events in his life, with special emphasis upon his travels so "That the reader may discover at a glance where he was at any date. References to specific pages of the book are made in brackets:. Dj is dk tan with red and black lettering and black sketch of sailing ship at sea. Rear of dj is ad for Lambskin library, which they say is "particularly well adapted f or travel.reading." Chips along edges. Otherwise, good. Mylar cover. Binding is blue cloth and paper with paste on: both spine and front. Binding is bright, and clean. Endpaper foxing and evidence o f some hinging. Text is in lovely cond. Beautiful drawings.
