An unusually tender and revealing presentation copy of this book-length poem, originally written in 1971 (the date given by the copyright page), but unpublished until 1978. NY: Vehicle Editions, [1978]. First edition. One of 1,474 wrappered copies, from a total edition of 1500. [48] leaves, printed recto only. Perfect-bound in wraps, 7 x 5 in., featuring cover by Joe Brainard. Very good, with toning to spine, some incidental soiling to fore- edge. Signed by Berrigan to the front end-paper and also inscribed on the following flyleaf: "For Tommy [or Tony] and Kathy, don't show this one to Mom, she might think she forgot to bring me up not to use "bad language" Love & kisses, Teddy." Berrigan's inscription is to his sister Kathy (and her presumed husband).

Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports.
