Restored and coated in protective lacquer. 5 raised bands. 6 compartments. Gilt decorative flourishes within compartments. Gilt lettering on spine. Tight binding and solid boards. Daniel Tauvry was a reknown medical professional, son of Ambrose Tauvry, a doctor at Laval. This volume is a collection of his writings on medicine in 17th century France. Fairly clean interior. Library sticker from the Surgeon Generals Office and notation inside front board. Title page is missing, replaced by hand-written title page detailing publication details. Scattered light marks throughout. Folding to pages halfway through. Overall, a well-restored volume in very good condition.
