Mostly written by Selous but with chapters on giraffe and zebra hunting by Bryden. Covers hunting in Africa and North America. Six illustrations by Charles Whymper show game animals with vaguely human expressions on their faces. Scarce.Condition of this book:Boards rubbed at extremities, chipping at head and tail of spine.Leaves clean and tight, free front endpaper has embossed ID of W.H. Smith & Son. Size: Quarto. 196. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
