Garden City: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1947. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Edited and with an Introduction by Philip Van Doren Stern. Very Good in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($3.50), toned, rubbed and with some creases and chips at the edges. Blue cloth, faded at the edges, with black ink lettering and designs on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound, some stains at the edges, stamp of science fiction author Chad Oliver on the front endpaper, clean otherwise. A selection of twenty-four fantasy stories from the likes of H.G. Wells, D.H. Lawrence, W. Somerset Maugham, Rudyard Kipling, James Thurber, M.R. James, Arthur Conan Doyle, among others.
