First Edition 1947. The copy offered is signed by the author in ink to the free front end paper with no other inscription or previous owner name. VG/Good (Book- mild to moderate general shelf wear to boards, light foxing to end papers, author signature as above, a little dust spotting to top edge of book block and browning band to one leaf probably from a newsprint item or fauna sample being inserted at some time. Dust Jacket - heavy colour rubbing to extremities with loss principally at head and tail of spine, moderate general soiling and uneven fading to red at rear panel. Non price clipped - cover 15/- Now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve. No other notable defects to book or jacket).
