First Edition 1947. The copy offered is signed by the author in ink to the free front end paper with no other inscription or previous owner name. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. VG/Good (Book- mild to moderate general shelf wear to boards, light foxing to end papers, author signature as above, a little dust spotting to top edge of book block and browning band to one leaf probably from a newsprint item or fauna sample being inserted at some time. Dust Jacket - heavy colour rubbing to extremities with loss principally at head and tail of spine, moderate general soiling and uneven fading to red at rear panel. Non price clipped - cover 15/- Now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve. No other notable defects to book or jacket).
