First Edition 1956, 323 pages with black and white portrait of Francisco Garcia Diego on frontispiece, many black and white illustrations and photographs. Book is near Fine in publisher's grey cloth binding with green stamped title to spine. No previous owner bookplate or writing, never read condition. Detailed history of Mission Santa Ines and early California mission life. Jacket is near Fine, some light soiling on rear panel, and light sunning to spine, shows nicely in a new mylar sleeve. Very clean and presentable. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
