It illustrated the vast and wonderful world of art, industry, trade, decoration and ornament in the United States in its first two hundred years. Very heavy volumes . A historically important set. Virtually no wear to boards -- covers are clean and crisp with bright gilt lettering and decoration. No interior markings. Hinge of volume 1 strengthened internally; light fade marks to both volumes.
